Beach Riding and Hacking from Home Farm Stables
Holme beach is conveniently accessible from our doorstep, just a 5-minute walk along a tranquil single-track lane. The beach offers a scenic stretch westward for 2 miles towards Old Hunstanton, and eastward for 2.5 miles to Thornham. During low tide, you can explore further by crossing the creeks, extending your journey by an additional 4.5 miles towards Brancaster and beyond.
For the optimal beach experience, we recommend beach approximately in the window 2 hours before and after low tide.
If you're seeking a change of scenery or a break from the sea breeze, consider venturing inland for a countryside hack. One of our preferred routes begins inland, passing through the charming village of Ringstead, with a chance to stop at The Gin Trap pub. From there, the trail continues through Ringstead Downs Nature Reserve, culminating in a delightful finish along Old Hunstanton Beach.
